Project Description
Period Barn, Buckinghamshire
When asked to review the old lighting system inside a period barn in Buckinghamshire, it was immediately obvious this was a beautiful space, which somehow combined intimacy with the ability to accommodate large numbers for a party. What was apparent in the evening however, was that the existing lighting did nothing to enhance the space or offer any flexibility according to how it was being used.
Given this amazing blank canvas, Mike Shackleton (Lighting Designer) and a team of ogl electricians set about transforming the barn into six distinct areas. These can now be individually controlled via a bank of LED dimmers, so all the lighting can work cohesively together for larger events, or be toned down and separated individually to create smaller intimate areas for family evenings.
